“All that we are is a result of our thoughts”-Abraham Lincoln
I saw this quote the other day and thought it fit in perfectly with the e-book I sent out to all new subscribers to “Design Your Best Life” newsletter. The book is titled “The Science of Getting Rich.” Although the book does discuss the word Rich in monetary value it also emphasizes “Rich” in all areas of your life not only financial gain.
I truly believe our thoughts are the most powerful secret in gaining fulfillment in our lives. Now, this is not to say that all you have to do is think of what you want out of life and poof it appears. However, what it does mean is that if you have the thoughts mixed in with definiteness of purpose, persistence, burning desire AND action you will create definite plans for achieving what you want and get it!!
It is really simple: Our thoughtstranslate into behaviorswhich then create our results. So take a look around you because what you see in your environment TODAY is the result of your thoughts from yesterday. Do you like what you see? Is it positive? Does it resonate with you and who you are? Is it aligned with your values?
If you answered YES-that is wonderful!! You are leading a purpose driven life and I hope you will continue on your journey to ensure you are consistency attracting all that you want out of life!
If you answered NO-then be grateful! Grateful that you have now found the “secret” to achieving what you want out of life. Now creating the live you want does not happen overnight. It takes time and patience. For many, being consciously aware of your thoughts and forcefully changing them to be in alignment with who you are is not an easy task. Believe me-I do it every day and I must admit-some days are better than others…HOWEVER, it can be done and overtime you will see results.
So I ask each of you to challenge yourself and be conscious of your thoughts this week. Really try hard to focus on what you want. You may want to journal about it, write down, stick post-it notes in various areas where you will be reminded of things you want out of life-even create a vision board (my personal favorite). Just being conscious of your thoughts is the first step. Like I said it takes time and I would not recommend implementing all the steps in one day. Take time to figure it what it is really want and then think about it so its embed in your mind, live and breathe it everyday and you are bound to see results.
